Red Letter Challenge

Jesus modeled a whole life and even told us how to follow Him in HIS OWN WORDS (the red letters found in many Bibles).

The best way to follow Jesus is simply to follow the words of Jesus.

He said it. We do it.

As we start this series we will explore what it means to take up the "yoke" of Jesus.

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Services are at 8 am and 10 am and streamed live at 8 am on Facebook and 10 am on YouTube. Otherwise, you can find all our sermons on YouTube.

The 5:30 pm service and the Pinetown campus service at 10 am will also be doing the same series. Pinetown Campus will begin one week later.

If you're not in a Life Group click on the link below to join one for this 6-week series.

Marriage Preparation

Your journey towards a great marriage starts with great preparation before your wedding!

One of the traditional intentions of your engagement period is to spend time, not only in preparation for your wedding day (as important as that is) but more particularly for your marriage.

We believe that attending the Marriage Preparation Course before your big day will in many ways prepare you for what is potentially the most significant and enjoyable relationship of your life. We would love you to join us for six weeks of great conversation, good snacks and coffee and a new discovery of the gift of marriage.

We will cover the following topics; family background, love and romance, physical intimacy, communication and conflict, managing your finances and God in your marriage.

Starting Sunday, 4 August for six weeks from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Church Office Boardroom at NO COST.

To sign up please email cindy@homeground.org.za

CAST needs YOU!

Ibandla Malivuke "Church Arise" is an annual conference hosted by the Church Alliance for Social Transformation NPO (CAST).

The purpose of the conference is to be an oasis in the wilderness: for many people working in the justice and social development space as the work is lonely, unrelenting and exhausting.

You might be thinking that this isn't for you, but we need your help.

This is a great opportunity to serve in various ways by:

  • signing up to volunteer at the event
  • sponsoring tickets or items for the conference,
  • offering accommodation for delegates or
  • joining a prayer group

Just click on the link below to let CAST know how you can help.

Contact info@cast.org.za for more information.

Clothing Sale

The CAST clothing sale is happening again - so put it into your diary and start saving some money.

It will be happening on Saturday, 3 August from 07:30 - 12:30 at Home Ground Church.

New, sample clothing will be sold at massively reduced prices. The proceeds from this event will go towards funding CAST projects and initiatives.

All are welcome!

Contact CAST at info@cast.org.za if you need to know more.

Tithing at Home Ground

The Bible teaches us in Malachi 3:10, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

Tithing is not just a financial transaction; it is a spiritual discipline that aligns our hearts with God's purpose and allows us to be active participants in the plans He has.

If you have never tithed before and have questions, we'd love to chat. Email us on feedback@homeground.org.za

Here are the details of how to tithe:
